Heart Bowl in Ash – 11strings

Heart Bowls of this size are deeply affecting musical instruments. The 11 strings give a rich and warm sound with a long sustain. As you can hear in the sound sample below, this one in local Ash has a particularly tender tone.

Anyone can play such an instrument, because each string gives such a lovely sound on its own that there are literally no wrong notes. Beautifully made by master Sounding Bowl maker Wilfred, here at our Devon studio, this piece will sound wonderful for generations to come.
