With 13 strings in a Melody pattern, this is only the third of its type. The 12 string Melody Bowl has been extremely popular, 40 of them so far. Occasionally a piece of wood presents itself as ideal for a 12-string but just a little larger than required, thus able to accommodate a 13^th string. This is the result!

Cherry fills her notes with delight. Spring flowers, sweet fruit, the gentle surprise of advancing summer all resonate in the tone of this instrument, as you can hear in the sound sample below. Rich deep notes, and long summer-evening-high-notes combine to create an exceptionally lyrical bowl.

Due to the perfect balance and the tone that moves me so exceptionally I have to categorize this one as a Cathedral Bowl, exceptional amongst its kin.
