Lyre Bowl in Birch – 15string

Description

The sound of a large Lyre Bowl is powerful and can be felt in the body even if you are not touching the wood. This effect is important in Sound Healing, where they are found to produce deep states of relaxation, insight and emotional release in less than one third the time of a gong.

Birch is the archetypal Venus tree, her presence is gentle, emotional and uplifting. Few birches grow large enough for such as this instrument, and many that do are hollow. This is the one and only, the largest Lyre Bowl we have ever made from Birch. A completely unique piece.

Since 2020 this bowl has lived with an exceptional Sound Healer in the home counties of England. Now retiring, she is sending her instruments into new lives and benefitting her grandchildren with driving lessons and suchlike.

There are different ways of tuning this bowl. It can be used as an instrument with an African-style bilateral tuning, or as a singel-sweep-harmonic, or “gong tuning.” so far this one has spent her life in the “Gong tuning,” where a simple strum produces powerful harmonies, and every note you pick is in rich harmonic relationships with every other note. As you can hear below.

As with all larger Sounding Bowls this one comes with a hard case, soft lined and padded. And with an auto-tuner and manual.

This instrument can lead you into harmonies, inwardly and outwardly, that take you to new levels of development. You need no musical training as each note is beautiful in itself. Just follow the simple steps in our beginners guide. Meditation with these sounds can open doors.

For therapists, this bowl will help your clients to ground and to centre themselves in profound and gentle ways. Particularly good at the end of a longer gong-bath, bringing client back into their bodies calmly and effectively.
